"Monthly Selfies" is a personal project started in January of 2021, with the goal of drawing a self portrait in a different style every month. My aim was not only to draw every portrait with a different style, but to draw from my own personal experiences and feelings so that the 'monthly selfie' could reflect my emotions, mental health and personal growth over the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
